Nasj Al-Abaad — Water Management & Vertical Gardens Corporate Website

WebsitesWebsiteCompleted

A professional corporate website for Nasj Al-Abaad — the authorized Saudi distributor for Australian brand Atlantis, specializing in urban water management and vertical garden solutions. Built entirely on WordPress with a custom theme and a comprehensive technical product catalog.

Nasj Al-Abaad is a Saudi company specializing in urban stormwater management and vertical garden solutions, and is the authorized local distributor for Australian brand Atlantis — a global leader in water management systems for over 50 years, operating in more than 50 countries including 3 Gulf states.

The company provides integrated environmental solutions including: pond, fountain, and waterfall systems; rainwater harvesting and underground tanks; rooftop gardens; vertical gardens (GRO-WALL); and drainage systems for sports fields. They serve residential, urban, commercial, and sports facility projects across Saudi Arabia.

I built the website entirely using WordPress — both frontend and backend — with a custom theme reflecting the company's visual identity and the parent brand Atlantis, alongside a detailed technical product catalog presenting engineering specifications for the construction and contracting sector audience in a clear, well-organized manner.

Challenges

  • Technical Engineering Product Catalog: The products are engineering-intensive — specs, sizes, load ratings, flow rates. The challenge was designing a flexible WordPress data structure that displays these specifications clearly and comparably without sacrificing the ease of content updates from the dashboard.
  • Multiple Application Domains: The same products are used in very different contexts — from residential ponds to football pitches. Organizing this diversity into a logical, intuitive navigation structure was a significant information architecture challenge.
  • Dual Identity — Local and International: The website represents a local Saudi company (Nasj Al-Abaad) while simultaneously serving as the official face of an international Australian brand (Atlantis). Maintaining visual balance between both identities was a design challenge.
  • Specialized Audience — Engineers and Contractors: The target visitor is not a regular consumer but an engineer, contractor, or real estate developer seeking technical specifications and engineering support. Designing a user experience for this specialist audience differs fundamentally from standard corporate websites.

Solution

  • Custom WordPress Theme from Scratch: Developed a fully custom theme — no Starter Theme, no Page Builder — based on precise design requirements reflecting the company's environmental identity and projecting a professional image suited to the engineering and contracting sector.
  • Custom Post Types for Technical Content Management: Created custom content types (Products, Applications, Brochures) rather than relying on standard WordPress pages — enabling logical data structuring and making it easy for the team to add new products and update specifications independently.
  • Advanced Custom Fields for Engineering Specifications: Used ACF to create custom fields for each product category (dimensions, load ratings, flow rates, installation standards) that display in an organized manner on each product page without requiring additional programming for every update.
  • RTL-Optimized Arabic Design: Built custom CSS for full RTL direction instead of relying on plugins, providing precise control over every visual element and ensuring a natural, smooth Arabic reading experience.
  • Application Classification Architecture: Designed a hierarchical classification system linking each product to its relevant applications, so a visitor approaching from a "use case" angle (e.g., "I need a drainage system for a sports pitch") reaches the right product in just a few clicks.

Results & Outcomes

  • A professional corporate website reflecting the identity of a specialized environmental engineering company and reinforcing the Atlantis brand's presence in the Saudi market.
  • An organized technical product catalog presenting engineering specifications clearly for an engineer and contractor audience.
  • A content management system enabling the team to independently update products, brochures, and applications with ease.
  • An optimized Arabic RTL design reflecting the company's local identity while maintaining the international parent brand's standards.
  • A user experience designed for the specialist engineering audience with a logical navigation structure linking solutions to applications.

Case Study

Project Overview

Nasj Al-Abaad needed a professional digital presence that reflects the specialized nature of their environmental water management business, and showcases their diverse technical product range (tanks, flow cells, vertical gardens) in an engineering-oriented manner suited to their audience of engineers, contractors, and real estate developers. The website also serves as the official face of the Atlantis brand in the Saudi market.

Project Requirements

  • A corporate website merging the local identity (Nasj Al-Abaad) with the international parent brand (Atlantis).
  • A detailed technical product catalog presenting engineering specifications for each product category.
  • An "Engineering Support" section providing technical consultations and guidance for engineers.
  • An "Applications" section categorizing solutions by use type (ponds, tanks, drainage, sports fields).
  • A dedicated, fully self-contained "GRO-WALL Vertical Gardens" section.
  • A "Brochures" section for downloading technical files and engineering catalogs.
  • A design reflecting the company's environmental and sustainable character with a distinctive green palette.
  • A fully Arabic website with smooth RTL design.

Website Sections

  • Homepage: Company introduction, featured solutions, and key application areas.
  • About: Company story, vision ("Sustainable Green Environment"), mission ("Green Cities for Life"), and Atlantis partnership.
  • Engineering Support: Section for engineers and contractors offering technical support and tailored solutions.
  • Products: Atlantis Tank catalog and Flow-Cell group with detailed technical specifications.
  • Applications: Solutions categorized by use — ponds, fountains & waterfalls; water tanks; drainage; sports fields; rainwater harvesting; rooftop gardens.
  • GRO-WALL Vertical Gardens: A dedicated section for the vertical wall garden product line with details and applications.
  • Brochures: A library of technical files and engineering catalogs available for download.
  • Contact: Contact form with company information and Riyadh location.

Technical Implementation

I used WordPress as the core platform to build the entire website — both frontend and backend. I developed a custom theme from scratch reflecting the company's visual identity — green tones expressing the environmental nature of the business, with an optimized Arabic RTL design. Custom Post Types were used to manage product categories, applications, and brochures in an organized way, with Advanced Custom Fields enabling flexible display of engineering technical specifications and easy content updates from the dashboard.
